Baker County Will be on the November Ballot!

Question: Shall Baker County enact an ordinance that prohibits any infringement of the right to keep and bear arms?

Summary: This measure would create an ordinance that would prohibit the use of Baker County government funds, facilities and/or employees for the purpose of enforcing any element of any acts, laws, orders, mandates, rules or regulations that infringe on the right of the people to keep and bear arms. This ordinance would require the Sheriff of Baker County to review federal, state and local laws affecting firearms, firearms accessories, and/or ammunition and determine whether they violate the United States and Oregon Constitutions. This ordinance would prohibit Baker County Government from enforcing any law that restricts the right of the people to possess firearms, firearm accessories, and/or ammunition. Approval of the ordinance would subject people or corporations who violate this ordinance to a fine up $2,000 for an individual and $4,000 for a corporation.
